Our farm is located just north of Walnut Grove, MN, the childhood home of famous author Laura Ingalls Wilder.
At Bever Angus, we raise Registered Black Angus cattle. Our operation selects for functional and productive cattle with eye-pleasing phenotype that thrive in the challenging southern Minnesota climate, but still satisfy the high standards of EPD’s that customers expect today. We dedicate a lot of time and effort every year when selecting a donor or sire group for breeding, ensuring that we continue with genetics that will compliment the high standards of Bever Angus. We believe this strategy will build a great platform for both commercial and registered breeders.
Given our location in the heart of corn country where most producers sell cattle by the pound, on the grid or finish in a feedlot setup, we select for genetics that produce high weaning weights and great carcass traits. We aim for these cattle to excel in longevity traits such as calving ease, docility, fertility, great udders and good feet. We want to ensure that our cattle will work for you, the producer, and not the other way around.
Raising Registered Black Angus is not only our passion but our way of life. We could not achieve great results without our customers and the trust they put in our program. We truly thrive on feedback from our repeat customers year after year.
So, thank you again for your interest in our program. We hope we can welcome you to our farm very soon. Please give us a call anytime.
